Nestled in the heart of Towcester, one of the oldest towns in Northamptonshire, lies a gem steeped in tradition and purpose - Towcester’s oldest Masonic lodge, established on August 28th 1837 and the fourth oldest in the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire. One of three that meets in Towcester.
We meet every first Wednesday from October to May, as the clock strikes 6.00pm, members of Towcester’s oldest Masonic lodge gather, not just for a meeting, but to reconnect, reflect, and share in something meaningful. The lodge isn’t simply a venue, it’s a sanctuary where Freemasonry’s principles find life through friendship, service, and personal growth.
Founded back in the 19th century, the lodge has stood quietly as generations have passed through Towcester’s historic streets. Our town’s rich Roman heritage and bustling marketplace form the backdrop to a legacy of fellowship that continues today. For centuries, the lodge has played a part in bringing people together, guided by values of integrity, charity, and respect.
